CARDONE is driven to be the best remanufacturer in the world. It’s a mission we have nurtured and adhered to since opening our doors in 1970.
We’re honored to have been recognized by industry peers for our leading-edge innovation, visionary leadership, and lifetime achievements.
In 2014, CARDONE owner and Chief Strategy Officer Michael Cardone Jr. was presented with the Triangle Award––the highest honor awarded by the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association.
“Michael humbly credits his service to a strong calling to engage with his peers to improve the industry,” said Steve Handschuh, president and chief executive officer of MEMA. “He willingly shares his expertise and thought leadership as a frequent keynote speaker at industry and business events.”
Cardone has been an active member in many industry associations, especially MEMA and its supplier-focused divisions. He has served on the Board of Governors of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association, MEMA’s light vehicle aftermarket division; as a past chairman of the MEMA Board of Directors; and as the founding chairman of MERA.
“Michael’s most recent contribution to our industry—and perhaps closest to his heart—is the establishment of MERA,” said John Chalifoux, president and chief operating officer of MERA. MERA is the remanufacturing division of MEMA. “He was the driving force behind the association’s launch in 2011. Under his leadership and guidance, MERA has grown to more than 100 member companies, and has become a leading voice for the global remanufacturing industry.”
Michael Cardone Jr. was again recognized when he received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award for the Philadelphia region.
The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
“It is with great pleasure that I accept this award on behalf of all those who have helped make CARDONE a champion of innovation,” Cardone said.
“Growing this business from a single room to over 6,000 employees in several countries was no easy task, and I owe my sincere gratitude to the employees of CARDONE Industries for their tireless efforts to grow our business.”
